Our guides are all local experts who have been fishing the region for over 10 years, some more than 20, so they know every flat, boca and creek intimately, and are eager to take you to their favorite hot spots.
Of course, our guides are also well versed on the latest fishing tactics and equipment. So they can always recommend the best flies or lures to use for different game fish and situations, and even help with the rigging, should you need a hand.
Also extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area, as well as the local fauna and flora of the region, especially those of Ciénaga de Zapata National Park (most of our guides are also biologists), our guides will gladly point out birds and other animals of special interest, and answer any questions throughout your day of fishing.
A government outpost at the end of the road in Las Salinas houses the guides and service staff on duty. In front of it, a fleet of modern 16- and 17-foot Beavertail flats skiffs powered by 30 and 60 hp outboards, respectively, floats ready for action under a covered dock. Our flats boats are all equipped with poling platforms, push poles, dry storage, and sizeable casting decks.
For Hatiguanico River, we use 17-foot aluminum Bass Tracker boats powered by Mercury outboards, and equipped with electric trolling motors to get within casting range of the fish as quietly as possible.
